What do you need today? A listening ear? Words of truth and encouragement? Assurance that, in time, these horrible fears and feelings will pass? Maybe you’re not even sure what you really need, you just want the confusion, and hurt, and shame to go away. It doesn’t matter whether you’ve only recently found out about your husband’s struggles, or if you’ve been dealing with his behaviors for decades, being the partner of someone battling with sexual compulsions can be a very rough and lonely road.

It’s hard to know who to talk to or how much you should say. It’s hard to separate the truth from the lies.  It’s hard to have hope for the future when everything you thought you could count on is crumbling before your eyes.

If you’ve swallowed your pride and tried reaching out to your family, friends or even your pastor, you may be overwhelmed by all the well-meaning, and often conflicting, advice you’ve received. Your concerns may have been discounted or minimized, or worse yet you may have, somehow, been blamed for the situation you are in.

ID-100312447I really wish that I could sit down with you over a cup of steaming herbal tea–your favorite kind—and speak hope into your heart. Although that may not be possible in a geographic way, why don’t you go grab that cup of tea anyway, and we’ll spend a little “virtual” time together. Wander through the blog pages and other resources and let me, and the others that will join us, walk with you until you find the truth, the encouragement and the sounding board that you need.

We want you to know that this is a safe place for you to come, to read, to learn, and to connect with others that are going through exactly what you are going through right now. You aren’t alone anymore!
